Unraveling the mystery

I wanted 1-ply. She had to have 2-ply.
I found a good deal on generics. She said only Charmin would do.
I thought the 6-pack would suffice. She wouldn't accept anything less than the super-24.

If it's just going to get flushed, what's the big deal????

Lesson learned: I know there are many differences between men and women, but toilet paper is the one I have yet to figure out.

You end up using more if you buy the cheap stuff and why only buy 6 when you know you're going to need more. Why not just save yourself a trip to the store?

Makes perfect sense to me. But I buy the 48 pack at Costco so maybe I shouldn't talk. ;-)

Interesting... What's being framed as a "gender difference" is really the difference between shopping styles... One likes cheap and quick, the other likes costly and longterm... Seems like there's room for a compromise here -- cheap AND longterm. That means, buy the generic 24 pack and be happy!
